The Mozambicans is heartwarming and friendly.  I went to Mozambique to serve the woman and children by teaching them skills, but I found, that their sincerity and  generosity served me abundantly.

I also taught this 4 year old girl to make a doll out of cotton wool. She was extremely happy to have a doll to play with. Her happiness for a small little cotton doll, reminds us, how much we have to be thankful for.

Empowering Mozambique ladies, by teaching them to crochet. Teaching them crochet, is a small beginning, but I am excited to see how these ladies will develop the skill and then crochet blankets and warm cloths for themselves, or crochet clothes to sell, to earn a living.

I didn’t just want to give the ladies gifts, I wanted to add to their lives by teaching them a skill. I gave each lady a Crochet needle and cotton wool, and taught each lady to crochet. Once off gifts don’t change their situation, but skills empower them to change their situation.
